Mr. Romano grew up in Lombard and attended Christ the King Elementary School and Glenbard East High School. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Several years later, he returned to school and earned his Master of Business Administration from Elmhurst University.
Before joining St. Pius X, Mr. Romano spent 22 years in the investment management field. During that time, he also spent more than a decade coaching youth sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and track & field. He has also served as an active leader in both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA.
Mr. Romano believes that the grade school years should give children opportunities to explore a wide range of academic, athletic, and extracurricular challenges. Through those experiences, students can discover that with focus, hard work, and a little guidance, they are capable of overcoming obstacles and accomplishing more than they may have thought possible. He also believes that providing adolescents with meaningful opportunities to explore leadership roles is vital to their development, helping them build confidence, responsibility, independence, and the ability to positively influence those around them.
Mr. Romano currently serves as the Marketing & Development Director and Athletic & Extracurricular Activities Director at St. Pius X. He is also a proud St. Pius X parent: two of his sons have graduated from St. Pius X, while his third son, Frankie, is currently a student.
