At St. Pius, our goal is to help your child develop to their full potential and to provide you with the comfort of knowing we are doing the best for your child.

Resource Program
For those students who have been assessed with a specific learning difficulty, we have a dedicated Resource Teacher to provide assistance in a small group or 1-on-1 setting.  Students who qualify for speech services through District 45 receive these services on-site through a District 45 speech therapist.  For more questions about our Resource Program, please contact our Resource Director, Mrs. Peggy Zitzer, at

Licensed Counselor
We also have a Licensed Counselor on site to work with our students and staff to aid in mental health issues, behavioral issues and positive behavioral support, as well as academic consultation. Mrs. Julie Monk is a licensed counselor and has been a integral part of our school community. Questions for Mrs. Monk can be directed to her here:

Homework Club

The Homework Club will provide a quiet, structured environment for our students in grades four through eight to use to complete their homework. This club is held after school for students in grades four through eight. Students are responsible for bringing their homework materials that will be used during the session, and teachers will provide guidance and help to students who need it.

Homework Club begins with the students receiving some "down time". They will be provided with a healthy snack/drink along with some exercise or a game. At 3:20 p.m. the homework session will begin. The cost is $5.00 per day, per child.
