St. Pius offers a wide variety of technology for student use. Students attend technology class starting in kindergarten and continue through eighth grade. Some highlights of our technology:
- St. Pius X has 1:1 Device per student program in place
- Chromebooks for student use in each classroom grades two through eight
- iPads for kindergarten through grade one
- Classroom set of BBC Micro:bit to teach block coding and to progress to Python and Java
- Digital cameras for creating digital media and videos
- Sphero robots are used for teaching programming skills to students of all ages
Online Resources for Student and Teacher Use:
- SchoolSpeak platform utilized for all teachers and parents for online grading and announcements
- Students have access to their individual grades through SchoolSpeak beginning in fifth grade
- Learning Management Systems - Seesaw (Grades K-2), Google Classroom (Grades 5-8). Students in grades 2-8 receive a school-issued Gmail address for use of Google Docs and classroom collaboration
- Students gain access to their Gmail accounts in 5th grade – restricted to in-house emails for the purpose of communicating with their teachers.

- Grolier Online (an encyclopedia for research projects)
- Mystery Science (online science curriculum for grades K-5 with video and hands-on activities)
- Discovery Education Science (online science curriculum with video and interactive features)
